This is followed by a sermon or speech given by an Imam or religious leader, which emphasizes the importance of marriage in Islam. The couple then exchanges vows and rings, and a dua (prayer) is recited for their union. The ceremony may also include the giving of a dowry (mahr) from the groom to the bride. Finally, the couple and their families may celebrate with a feast or reception. **
